Ian Hargreaves

Ian was born in Blackpool in 1957. His family moved to Bournemouth in the early 1960's where he studied illustration at Bournemouth College of Art from 1974 - 1976. After that he embarked on a three month journey, painting his way around the continent. This sparkled a love affair with the diverse European cultures that influences his life and art.

After returning to England, Ian spent the next three-and-a-half years, in between London and Sicily, drawing portraits (over three-thousand in fact) and painting local scenes. He met his German wife-to-be and moved to Germany in 1985.

In has works in many private and pulic collections across Europe and currently lives in Munich.
